(MENAFN) Saudi tourists in Dubai were the most spenders in this year’s first half as the number of tourists hit 700,000, Saudi Gazette reported.
The number of tourists from the Kingdom who visited Dubai increased by 31.6 percent in the January-June period compared to same six month period of last year.
In the period, Saudi tourists spent an average of USD6,399 bringing USD4.6 billion to the emirate.
A report by the Dubai Tourism and Marketing Department said: “Saudi Arabia was the largest tourist exporter to Dubai this year and the number of Saudi tourists who came to the emirate in the first half surged by nearly 31.6 per cent over the same period of last year.”
