(MENAFN) Official data showed that Saudi Arabia’s inflation rose to 2.1 percent year-on-year in May from 2.0 percent in April, Arab News reported.
The Central Department of Statistics released the May consumer price data. Prices of housing and utilities rose 3.1 pct from a year earlier in May, while food and beverage prices climbed 1.4 percent.
Saudi Arabia’s imports were up 2.8 percent from a year earlier in March, while nonoil exports were down 19.4 percent, data from the department showed.
