Saudis to get a total of USD1.3b housing loans

(MENAFN) More than 10,000 Saudi citizens are set to receive housing loans approved by the Saudi government, Saudi Press Agency reported.
Saudi Arabia has approved a total of USD1.3 billion housing loans to help fund 12,018 properties to be built across the Kingdom.
It is the third round of housing loans issued this year as the Kingdom attempts to mitigate its chronic housing shortage compared its rapid rise in the country’s population, which has surpassed 28 million.
The loans are also expected to give a short-term boost to construction and jobs.
