Scottish M&Co to plans to launch 30 outlets in GCC

(MENAFN) Stcottish fashion retailer M&Co inked an agreement with Abu Dhabi’s Liwa Trading Enterprises to run its brand across the Gulf region, Arabian Business reported.

The fashion group is set to launch four UAE stores in the next nine months, with plans to open further 24 outlets across the GCC in the near future.

M&Co said it will open its first outlet in Dubai Mall in May, followed by a second outlet in Dubai Marina Mall in June. Abu Dhabi will also host two stores later in the year.

Lee Braid, the firm’s international franchise manager said M&Co is seeking to tap UAE’s growing market through focusing on premium products and quite quality kids ranges.

Liwa Trading Enterprises, the retail arm of UAE-based Al Nasser Holdings, holds the franchise rights for a number of UK clothing brands including BHS and Tammy.

It currently has 50 stores around the Middle East, with US brand Calvin Klein and Canadian lingerie store LaSenza also on its books.
