September oil exports plunge in Iraq

(MENAFN) The Iraqi oil ministry stated that the countrys oil exports last month plunged to 2.07 million barrels per day (bpd), registering its slowest export rate in 2013, Xinhua reported.

A ministry spokesman said that exports slumped from an average of 2.579 million bpd in August to only 500,000 bpd in September.

The low export rate is cited to maintenance works and the expansion of the oil export terminals in southern in Iraq.
