Serbia redevelops Belgrade waterfront with USD4b Gulf cash

(MENAFN) Serbia plans to help redevelop the Belgrade waterfront in the UAE to attract more tourists to the country’s capital in a scheme worth USD4.019 billion, according to Arab News.

The project, which will be funded by the Gulf cash, will include office and luxury apartment blocks, eight hotels, a shopping mall and a tower.

The project is expected to create more jobs and aims to turn Belgrade into a business hub for the Western Balkans.

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said: “It (the project) will make Belgrade a regional center and it will attract many tourists.”
