(MENAFN) Dubai Metro operator Serco has bought the Saudi arm of MENA Business Services (MBS), Arabian Business reported.
MBS is a fully-owned, Dubai-registered company that provides business process outsourcing (BPO) services across the Middle East.
The Saudi unit is based in Al Khobar, near Dammam, and provides IT and BPO services to Saudi Aramco, the world’s largest petroleum company.
The deal will expand Serco’s global BPO business which entered the Middle East market last year by setting up a centre in Dubai.
Serco said that the Saudi acquisition would bring additional skills to support expansion in areas of technical and back office support in the Saudi Arabian market.
It adds to Serco’s global BPO capabilities, which already provide services to international clients from 100 centres in 12 countries and employ more than 50,000 people.
The Middle East BPO market is estimated at USD2.75 billion and growing at about 17 percent, according to Datamonitor. The UAE and Saudi Arabia are the two largest BPO markets in the region.
