Sharjah 2016 budget spending reaches USD 5.4bn

(MENAFN) Sharjah budget spending for this year touched 2 percent to USD 5.4bn as part of a drive to make more jobs for citizens in government agencies.

Furthermore, 6 percent of the budget has been taken for assistance while 1 percent of it was kept aside as reserve for emergency requirements.

Additionally, 26 percent of the division is for salaries and wages, whereas 46 percent of the spending aimed at increasing economic development.

The budget has an allocation of 10 percent for cultural and educational sectors, while 13 percent is set apart for increasing workers’ welfare and provide jobs.
