Sharjah Hotel hits 71 percent occupancy increase

(MENAFN) Sharjah hotel occupancy hit 66 percent from January to June 2012, while the increasing percentage of the current year hit 71 percent, achieving the goal of attracting guests from all over the world, according to Khaleej Times.

The hotel’s total room nights were up to one million mark in the first six months of the current year.

Visitors of the UAE were divided between 103 hotels and hotel apartments registering a number of 951,592 visitors. 536.047 of them stayed in hotels while other 415,545 chose hotel apartments.

A huge number of visitors were interested in a festival held in February 2013, The Sharjah Light Festival0, that the emirate welcomed in its hotels and hotel apartments for two months celebrating the emirate’s landmarks.
