Sharjah’s Air Arabia takes delivery of 1st Sharklet-equipped A320 plane

(MENAFN) Air Arabia Group’s CEO, Adel Ali, stated that the carrier has received its first Sharklet-equipped Airbus A320 plane, becoming the first airline in the region to take delivery of the model, reported Emirates 24/7.

The aircraft, the world’s most environmentally friendly single-aisle plane, is outfitted with fuel-saving large wing tip devices that lower fuel burn and emissions through enhancing the aerodynamics of the plane.

The new wing tip devices will enable the Sharjah-based airline to become one of the world’s most efficient low cost carriers.

It is worth noting that Sharklets are an option on the new Airbus A320 family planes, which are fitted with large wing tip devices that save fuel.
