19 Sep 2013

(MENAFN) The Sudanese Finance Minister, Aggrey Tisa Sabuni, reported yesterday that South Sudan is considering borrowing about USD1.6 billion to fund its budget, according to The Peninsula Qatar.

The nation had to stop its oil production for about 16 months, causing the budget to suffer.

Sabuni said that the government wanted to raise USD 2.38 billion in oil revenues as oil production declined 50 percent.
