(MENAFN) Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity and Water has placed a USD160 million orders to Swiss power group ABB to build substations in the Gulf state, according to Arabian Business.
The new orders are expected to help improve the country’s power grid and its growing infrastructure.
The company said that the projects are scheduled to be completed by 2016.
The projects are planned to be built in Kuwait’s north Rawdatain region, and ABB will be responsible for designing, supplying, installing and commissioning two 300/132kv gas-insulated switchgear substations.
