21 Aug 2013

(MENAFN) The chairman of the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), Ahmed bin Sulayman said that there are plans to build the world’s tallest office building in Dubai, Times of Oman reported.

The office building is still in its very early stages as it still needs to be designed and a contractor firm and financing plan are yet to be chosen, bin Sulayman said.

The director of property at DMCC said that the office tower would be built in the middle of a 107,000 square meter land that has commercial building for companies that need facilities and that the tower would be at least 520 meters tall.

A portion of the tower will be sold for USD1 billion and the rest will be kept to bring rental income.
