(MENAFN) The cost of building the Mall of Qatar has increased by USD660 million, according to the latest details available on the project.
In a feature profile of the development in Arabian Business last year, the cost of building Doha’s largest mall was said to be USD820 million.
However, in a release issue in the past week, UrbaCon Trading & Contracting said the cost of the new mall is now USD1.48 billion.
“Estimated to open in the second or third quarter of 2016, the total development cost of the project is USD1.48 billion, including land, mall, hotel, all related services,” CEO of UrbaCon said.
