(MENAFN) Toyota announced it has registered a 6 percent growth in its Middle East sales, reaching 356.805 units for the January-June period of this year compared to same period last year, Gulf Daily News reported.
The Japanese carmaker said that the number of sold cars increased across their brands of sedans, SUVs and pickups, along with the new Yaris Sedan, which witnessed a 63 percent increase, to reach 27.823 units in the first half of this year.
Meanwhile, the sales of the RAV4 rose by 34 percent to 7.960 units, while the sales of the Land Cruiser SUV grew by 4 percent to 41.083 units sold.
“The consistent growth in sales during the first half of this year validates the success of Toyota’s new design direction in terms of developing more emotionally compelling products to connect with consumers,” Toyota Motor Corporation’s Middle East and North Africa chief representative said.
