Tunisia’s budget deficit to reach 5.7pct

(MENAFN) The budget deficit is predicted to reach at least 5.7 percent by the end of 2016 against 3.9 percent projected.

Furthermore, the deficit estimated at Dinar 2.000mn, due to the drop of economic growth and public finance and to the depletion of budget resources.

Meanwhile, the State’s tax receipts will be consolidated and the budget deficit will be cut to Dinar 1.500mn (between 5.7 and 6 percent).

Accordingly, the sectorial reforms and restructuring of public enterprises constitute a heavy burden for the State budget.
