(MENAFN) The Tunisian government announced it had reached a deal with the protestors blockading oil and gas fields in southern Tunisia, to end a sit-in and allow production to restart immediately.
Demonstrations over jobs hit oil and gas production in a region where French company Perenco and Austrian producer OMV operate.
However, Labor Minister said the agreement will allow production to restart immediately.
On the other hand, protestors leader said: “It is an agreement that addresses all our demands for the region and we will end the sit-in.”
