(MENAFN) Two Chinese power giants, Hebei Elect Power Design and Research and Ningxia Elect Power Design Institute aim to conduct an environmental study for Omani coal-based power project.
Moreover, the firm aims to start work on the power project amid six months, while both firms inked a land lease deal with Oman Wanfang, which is managing 1.172 hectares of land.
Additionally, the capital spending of the 300MW project, which will have two power trains each with 150MW capacity, is projected at USD406mn.
Accordingly, the power would be supplied to the industries coming up amid the China Oman Industrial Zone in Duqm.
