(MENAFN) Two million jobs were provided by the Saudi economy in the period 2009-2012. Out of the total number of jobs, only 25 percent went to Saudi nationals, Arab News reported.
The growing gross domestic product in the Kingdom failed to take the increasing number of Saudis entering the labor market. Unemployment rate was at 12 percent in 2012 up from 10.5 percent in 2009.
Among Saudi women, unemployment rate reached 35 percent. The labor market growth in the Kingdom is at an average of 3.5 percent annually.
