U.S. approves USD1.4bn in military sales to Saudi Arabia

(MENAFN) The U.S. State Department has confirmed the sale of more than USD1.4bn of military training and equipment for Saudi Arabia.

Moreover, the deal involves a radar system made by Lockheed Martin Corp. as well as training program for the Royal Saudi Air Force and other Saudi forces.

Accordingly, KSA intended to use the radars in order to support its border security by locating the source of incoming weaponry, rockets and mortars.

Additionally, the radars were a part of USD662mn State Department approval which involved ammunition, trucks and technical support.
