(MENAFN) The US had strong ties with the UAE since its unification in 1971, which was the third country to establish formal diplomatic relations with the UAE.
Furthermore, American companies have a firm footing in the region, while it has banks and oil firms activated in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
By 2015, more than 1,000 American firms were introduced in the UAE, of which Facebook and CNN have stationed their local headquarters in the emirates.
On the other hand, the UAE is the only nation that allowed American oil firms to acquire participation stakes in oil concessions and didn’t nationalize the assets.
