UAE, Australia set to increase trade ties

(MENAFN) The UAE’s non-oil trade with Australia reached USD 2bn in the Jan-Sep period of 2015, making Australia one of the main strategic trading partners.

Moreover, there were 48 Australian firms, 60 trade agencies and 1,081 trademarks recorded with the ministry, while over 130 flights link the two sides.

Both sides explored ways of boosting mutual collaboration in areas of economic, trade and investment, as well as in essential sectors of common interest.

Additionally, UAE aims to build an economy which does not depend on oil incomes by making new economic sectors and increasing efficiency and productivity.
