(MENAFN) The UAE expects cruise tourism to keep growing this year, together with other economic indicators, as the emirates received over 582.000 cruise tourists in 2013, according to the Emirates 24/7.
This year, the number of cruise tourists is expected to reach over 600.000 with more vessels sailing into the UAE waters.
Dubai welcomed over 386.000 cruise tourists in 2013, and plans to attract more tourists through marketing initiatives in India and China.
Expansion of the Dubai Cruise Terminal, home to largest cruise facility in the region, will add 27,000 square metres of facilities to Mina Rashid.
