(MENAFN) UAE’s consumers have spent an average of USD1 thousand on consumer electronics this year, slightly down from USD1,300 in the previous year, based on recent data.
This turnaround is mainly attributed to in the lower costs of consumer electronics, such as panel pricing which has stumbled 40 percent from last year to now, among others.
However, a reputed electronics retailer assures that this situation only showcases the growing competition which is driving prices down and that’s good for consumers.
“We are seeing declining sales of consumer electronics due to a combination of factors, such as lower oil prices,” said the electronic retailer trying to shed some light on the case.
