(MENAFN) Dubai Electricity and Water Authority’s (Dewa) Managing Director and CEO, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, said that the company launched a USD34.5 million water pipeline project to meet increasing demand for water, reported Emirates 24/7.
Al Tayer added that the pipeline, which would be made of reinforced fiberglass in order to maintain an integrated and modernized infrastructure, would extend over a 23km area.
He also said that the project would include supplying, extending, and launching the new pipeline, and would be part of the firm’s strategy to boost its efficiency and operational capacity, in a move to raise water flow to new and high-populated areas.
It is worth noting that the new water pipeline would serve several areas along Emirates Road, since it would begin before Dubai Investments Park along Motor City and Arabian ranches.
