(MENAFN) dnata, the ground and cargo handling unit of Emirates Airline, announced that it has expanded its partnership with Virgin Atlantic Airways at London’s Heathrow Airport, reported Gulf News.
According to the new contract, dnata’s UK operation will start ramp handling for Virgin’s short-haul services from Terminal 1.
Furthermore, the UAE firm will manage Virgin’s 13 daily flights of its A320 operation.
dnata has started ground handling in the UK in 2010, through the acquisition of 2 of the country’s main airport operations.
It is worth noting that the 25-year-long partnership between dnata and Virgin comprises ramp handling for the UK carrier’s long-haul operations from Terminal 3 and its UK cargo handling business, as well as the Terminal 1 short-haul operations.
