(MENAFN) UAE’s second-largest telecom operator du reported an 8 percent decline in its net profit in the second-quarter period, matching analysts’ estimates.
The telecom operator, which was introduced to the domestic market in 2007, made a net profit of USD136.7 million in the quarter, down from USD500.2 million a year earlier.
Analysts polled by Reuters on average forecast du would make a quarterly profit of USD457.19 million. Second-quarter revenue was USD2.8 billion, compared with USD2.75 billion a year ago.
