(MENAFN) The e-commerce industry in the UAE is projected to reach USD10bn mark by the year 2018 as regional retailers are in the process of joining their online presence to remain competitive and profitable.
Additionally, with the UAE’s recent ecommerce value worth to be almost USD2.5bn, analysts are optimistic that the region’s ecommerce market is on an accelerated increase.
E-commerce trade in the UAE was at USD2.5bn in 2014 and is projected to be at USD10bn by the coming year, a 400 percent increase over 4 years.
Last year, 68 percent of UAE consumers shopped online with 48 percent more likely to grow their online spend in the coming year.
