(MENAFN) UAE’ Etisalat Group’s Chairman, Eissa Al Suwaidi, stated that the company’s net revenue rose 2 percent last year from 2011 to USD8.95 billion, reported Emirates 24/7.
Al Suwaidi added that the year’s net profits jumped by 27 percent to USD3.59 billion, before Federal Royalty.
The chairman noted that the number of customers the telco operator serves exceeds 139 million in 15 countries across the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Etisalat managed to draw customers though its investment in next-generation networks and through launching value-added services.
It is worth noting that the group secured its position as the biggest provider of telecommunications services to the local market in 2012 in the UAE.
