(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi-based Masdar signed a deal to build a 200 MW solar plant in Jordan, which will raise the global profit of the kingdom as a key destination for renewable energy projects.
The deal will strengthen the deep-rooted co-op between both sides and builds on the success of the region’s first utility-scale wind farm.
Moreover, the growing demand for power will require a diverse range of energy sources and the solar project reinforces the role of renewable energy as an efficient global energy mix.
The kingdom’s solar plant will be linked to Al Muwaqqar substation located almost 10 kilometers outside Amman.
