UAE Maximus Air cargo plans to expand in 2015

23 Sep 2014

(MENAFN) UAE-based cargo carrier Maximus Air, the largest all-freight airline in the emirates, announced it is planning to expand its business in 2015, Arabian Business reported.

The expansion plans include increasing demand for VIP air cargo, applying the finishing touches to a new freight, as well as trying to attract interest from key growth markets in Europe and Africa in order to find ways to expand their business in these regions.

These expansion plans come following the company had to ground its entire fleet of A300 planes due lack of cargo demand in June last year as well deciding to restructure its services, undergo a cost-cutting exercise, and focus on the more profitable parts of its business such as its charter operations.

“Our fleet is unique in that we have a range of aircraft that are able to accommodate every kind of shipment, and we can operate without conventional airport services if we have to. Our aircraft are able to land at both major airports and less established landing strips will continue to be a vital part of our disaster relief activation plans,” Maximus Air CEO said.
