UAE ranks first in Vietnamese phone imports

(MENAFN) The UAE has become the largest importer of Vietnamese phone sets and accessories, Xinhua reported.
The Gulf state’s imports of phones from Vietnam soared 100 percent year-on-year since 2010.
Vietnamese cellphones sold to the UAE hit USD3 billion last year, versus USD71 million in 2010.
In the first two months of this year, the UAE spent around USD520 million Vietnamese phones imports, accounting for over 81 percent of its import from Vietnam.
