(MENAFN) The United Arab Emirates has signed agreements with five Pacific island countries to deploy renewable energy projects worth USD50 million, according to the Emirates 24/7.
The new projects will be financed by the UAE-Pacific Partnership Fund, and are considered as one of the largest capital investments in the region”s clean energy sector.
Masdar, Abu Dhabi”s renewable energy company, will be responsible for co-designing and implementing the five projects.
