(MENAFN) Kenya Tourist Board (KTB) announced that the number of UAE tourists who visited the East African country during the January-August period soared by nearly 90 percent, reported Emirates 24/7.
In the 8-month period, Kenya received 26,574 UAE visitors, up from 14,019 in last year’s same period.
KTB said that the Arab country became the fastest growing inbound market for Kenya, and the 8th largest inbound source market.
KTB is continuing to market Kenya as an ideal location for magical events with its natural wildlife and outdoor activities, rare luxury facilities and settings, and professional tourism industry, providing memorable events and experiences that stay with visitors for a lifetime.
It is worth noting that in the first 8 months of the year, more than 800,000 tourists visited Kenya.
