(MENAFN) UAE’s Agthia Group announced that first-quarter net profit jumped 21 percent from a year earlier to USD7.34 million, reported Gulf News.
The company, one of the country’s major food and beverage groups, added that net sales reached USD84.65 million, with an increase of 12 percent from 2011’s same period.
It also said that net profit of its water and beverages division rose by 14 percent, whereas net sales of the segment also increased by 14 percent, reaching USD22 million.
It is worth noting that Agthia’s Agri Business Division’s net sales went up by 10 percent in the quarter, while the company’s Consumer Business Division climbed 17 percent.
