(MENAFN) The main airports of the United Arab Emirates witnessed an increase in passenger traffic, reaching 17.3 percent in the first quarter of the year against last year, Gulf News reported.
The increase came in part because of the added network capacity, which domestic airlines undertook to boost their businesses. The figure went up to total a number of 37.84 million passengers on arrivals.
The figures are issued by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), which also compared the number to the 32.24 million passengers’ arrivals recorded in the corresponding period last year.
