(MENAFN) Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) is set to expand its water bottling plant capacity, starting from June, as it looks to start exporting in 2016, The National reported.
The utility produces an annual 207 million units under its Mai Dubai brand. The utility predicts to increase the amount to 258 million units in August.
The expansion of Mai Dubai is set to include onsite accommodation for about 500 people. Costs of the project remain yet undisclosed by the firm’s chief executive.
“The project is one of the main pillars of Dewa’s plans to diversify revenue streams by investing in new ventures,” Dewa managing director and chief executive said in a statement.
