(MENAFN) Du CEO, Osman Sultan, stated that first-quarter profit of the second-biggest telecom operator in the UAE surged by 40.5 percent, reaching USD127.38 million, reported Arabian Business.
Sultan added that the figure is compared with the USD90.67 million recorded in 2012’s same period.
He noted that total revenue grew to USD715.84 million, up from USD666.85 million a year earlier, while mobile data revenue reached USD141.53 million, representing a growth of 32.8 percent.
It is worth noting that the number of mobile subscribers reached 6.64 million as of March 31, showing a rise of 19.9 percent from 2012.
