(MENAFN) The UAE’s employment market posted 10 percent growth in 2014, with a number of labors reaching over 4.4 million in work, according to the Ministry of Labor, Arabian Business reported.
The Ministry allotted a number of 1,212,000 work licenses in 2014, while giving the sack to around 821,000 employees, according to the Assistant Under-Secretary of Labour Affairs.
The construction sector was the country’s prime recruiter with 1.5 million presently in work, which adds up to about 34 percent of the total employment in Egypt, the Assistant Under-Secretary added.
The business sector was the second-best recruiter with almost 1 million employees in work, which is equivalent to 24 percent of total employment. The industrial sector ranked third with 500k workers.
