(MENAFN) Hacking attempts to damage the UAE’s government websites had been thwarted as telecommunication regulators stated on Sunday, Arabian Business reported.
The Telecommunications Authority (TRA) has managed to eliminate the damage and seeks to prevent any future attempts, clarifying that the are “Egypt-originated attempts”.
TRA has contacted the Egyptian authorities, and the director general of TRA Mohammed Nasser Al Ghanim said: “We agreed to provide the Egyptian authorities with a list of IP addresses from which the cyber-infiltration attempts originated.”
