(MENAFN) UAE-based Grandweld Shipyards won a deal to design and build two 42M aluminum crew boats for a US-based Global Marine, Arabian Business reported.
The company said that it deal with the yacht-brokerage firm follows the successful delivery of three 41M aluminum crew boats last year.
The boats are scheduled for delivery in August 2013, the statement added.
The two boats will be designed to reach a speed in excess of 26 knots, and feature crew seating capacity of 83 persons, and 104 sq m loading area for over 90 tons of cargo.
Grandweld is currently working on over 20 vessels including seismic support vessels, anchor handling tug supply vessels with DP2 capability, service boats, and crew boats.
