(MENAFN) Habtoor Leighton Group (HLG), the UAE-based construction firm, signed a USD608 million deal with Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) to construct reinforced concrete reservoirs in Qatar, the Peninsula reported.
According to HLG, the auxiliary of Leighton Holdings, the new-found reservoirs will enjoy a capacity of 100 million gallons. HLG will undertake the construction work, experimenting and the contracting of five reservoirs.
“Qatar is a very important market for us. We have had a local office in Doha since 2005, and during this time we have been involved in a number of projects perfectly aligned with our expertise and experience.” HLG CEO and Managing Director said.
