(MENAFN) Gulf investment firm Investcorp said it plans to buy a stake in the fashion brand of the Italian designer Roberto Cavalli, according to Gulf Daily News.
The Italy-based company has been seeking a partner or a buyer to bring in new funds to the brand.
The group, famous for its colorful animal prints, was about to sell a majority stake to buyout firm Permira.
Source at Bahrain-based Investcorp said: “We’ve been approached by Cavalli as they believe we would be a credible buyer.”
