(MENAFN) Monster Employment Index showed that last month, online recruitment activity in the UAE grew, with annual job growth rising 7 percent, reported Emirates 24/7.
It added that recruitment activity surged mainly in the retail/trade and logistics sector, followed by education and oil & gas sectors, however, growth recorded its lowest levels in consumer goods/ FMCG, food & packaged food, home appliance, garments/ textiles/ leather, gems & jewelry, healthcare, chemicals/plastic/rubber, paints, fertilizer and pesticides industries.
It also said that demand for healthcare professionals recorded the most notable growth in the period from October 2010 to October 2011, in addition to higher demand over professionals in customer service, purchase/logistics/supply chain.
It is worth noting that online opportunities grew in several countries in the region over 2010, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain.
