UK’s McLaren forecasts strong MENA demand for its cars

24 May 2012

(MENAFN) McLaren Automotive’s CEO, Antony Sheriff, stated that the auto maker expects to easily sell all of its 130-150 luxury cars introduced in the Middle East and North Africa in 2012, reported Arabian Business.

Sheriff added that there is strong demand for the company’s USD290,000 luxury car in the region, mainly in the GCC countries.

On the other hand, he said that the British sports car manufacturer will introduce its second showroom in the UAE in the capital Abu Dhabi, whereas new dealership in Jeddah will be launched during the next few days.

It is worth noting that in 2011, McLaren unveiled a USD80 million plant for mass production of its sports cars as it plans to boost annual sporting sales to 4,000 units.
