Ultra Electronics wins USD330m IT contract for Oman airports

(MENAFN) London-based Ultra Electronics Holdings won a USD330 million contract to provide IT and systems integration for the new terminals at Muscat and Salalah airports, the Construction Week reported.

The global aerospace and security solutions company will supply all electronic infrastructure and security systems at the airports’ new terminals.

The work at Salalah is scheduled to be completed next year, while work at Muscat Airport is due to be completed in 2015.

The development of the airports at Muscat Airport to handle up to 48 million passengers per year, and Salalah Airport to handle 10 million passengers annually.
