Unemployment rates decline by 0.2pct in Egypt

(MENAFN) Unemployment rates decreased by 0.2 percent in Q2 of this year, down to 12.5 percent, compared to 12.7 percent in the first quarter of this year.
Accordingly, the decrease attributed to the increase in employment rates in many sectors, like the public administration, defense and social security sector.
In addition, health and social security sector makes more than 3.2 percent of the whole employment rate, after it reached 2.7 percent in Q1.
On the other hand, the recent number of unemployed Egyptians stood at 3.7mn, which accounts for an increase of 61.000 workers from the first quarter of 2016.
