(MENAFN) Dubai Exports’ CEO, Saed Al Awadi, announced a 28-percent increase in UAE trade with the GCC in 2012, reaching USD25.85 billion, reported Gulf News.
Al Awadi said that of the total trade, Saudi Arabia made up 41 percent, while Qatar’s trade with the UAE grew by 50 percent, accounting for 16 percent.
He added that export between the UAE and Qatar jumped by 31 percent in 2012 from a year before.
It’s worth noting that non-oil trade between the UAE and the GCC has grown by USD127.69 billion during the last decade.
