Volkswagen ME sales soar 51 percent in July

(MENAFN) Volkswagen Middle East sales surged by 32 percent year-on-year in the seven months period ended July 31 supported by 51 percent year-on-year sales hike in the month of July alone, Saudi Gazette reported.

Volkswagen models, Tiguan and Jetta, helped push the positive results, but the Passat model was the main reason behind Volkswagen Middle East best performing month as sales of the car soared 415 percent in July compared to the same month last year.

“The Volkswagen Passat brings unrivalled German engineering and new levels of affordable luxury and innovation to the region. The Passat has proved extremely popular with our customers in the Middle East with a 2.5 liter, 170hp five-cylinder engine, six-speed automatic gearbox, and superior range of technical and design offerings, suiting the needs and discerning tastes of this market,” said, Managing Director of Volkswagen Middle East, Thomas Milz.
